Rönninge by in Täby
Rönninge Village is situated on the eastern side of lake Rönninge. The village consists of two farms, Södergården and Norrgården (southern and northern farm), but today it is run as one single farm.
Rönninge remains a “living” village where people are welcome to wander around and has become the best source of knowledge for Täby’s residents about farming in days gone by.

Demonstration farm with stockbreeding
Rönninge Village is adminstrered by Täby municipality which has granted the use of the land and most of the buildings to a tenant farmer. Today Rönninge Village is run as a demonstration farm with stockbreeding.
The livestock consists primarily of native Swedish breeds such as north-Sweden horses, Gotland ponies and Swedish hornless cattle. Visitors will also see sheep, goats, pigs, hens and rabbits.
The farm is a popular outing for preschools, schools and families.

At Midsummer thousands of Täby residents gather on the “festival field” by lake Rönninge to dance around the maypole. Other festive occasions are the Family and Enterprise Weekend, Music School Day, Great Village Party, and the Christmas Fair.
Rönninge Village is always open for people to wander around but there are fixed opening hours for the coffee shop, the local heritage museum and the handicraft shop.
